Game Client
Download the latest Imperial MU client from an official mirror.
We are currently using Season 21 Part 1–2, the newest MU version available. Since this version is still awaiting official Microsoft certification, your system or antivirus software may sometimes show a warning for the IGC.dll and game.exe files.
Our client files do not contain viruses or harmful software. These warnings can be false positives with newer game files. After verifying that you downloaded the client from an official mirror above, add the Imperial MU folder to the exclusion list of Windows Defender and your antivirus software if required.
Installation & Security Guide
Prepare Windows security settings and launch the client correctly.
Add the game folder to antivirus exclusions
Open Windows Security and go to Virus & threat protection.
Choose Manage settings, then open Add or remove exclusions.
Add the installation folder for Imperial MU.
Check Smart App Control
Open Windows Security from the Start menu.
Navigate to App & browser control and open Smart App Control.
If Windows blocks the verified official client, review this setting before launching the game.
Launch the game
Start the game normally from the installation folder. The client should now run without security blocks.
Font Troubleshooting
Fix missing characters or square symbols inside the game client.
Seeing squares instead of game text?
Install Arial Unicode MS: download ARIALUNI.TTF, open the file and choose Install. Alternatively, copy it to C:/Windows/Fonts.
